Mike moved to the area in 1986 when he was stationed at Bangor with the Navy. While at Bangor he enjoyed working on submarines. He loves spending time with his family and lives in the Seabeck area. Mike started in roofing in 2002. He and Owner, Steve, go way back and share many of the same philosophies when it comes to doing the job with excellence and maintaining honesty and integrity in business.
When these homeowners called Patriot they had tree damage including branches perforating the roof, which already had cracked as well as missing shingles and was failing. Fortunately, the homeowners had called quickly enough that there was no evidence of moisture damage done to the structure in the attic. They had heard about Patriot and our solid reputation of high quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Patriot did a complete tear off and installed a new roof with Certainteed Landmark AR in Driftwood to give the look and feel of cedar shakes but with the algae protection with Streakfighter technology. The re-roofing also included installing two brand new Velux skylights improving the look and energy efficiency from the old ones.
This beautiful two-story reroof project started with a failing cedar shake roof. The shakes were curled, cracked and exposing the underlayment and causing moisture problems.
We replaced the cedar shakes with new composite asphalt shingles from Certainteed with a shake-look but with more durability. The Presidential Shake shingle is a perfect product to replace cedar shakes because it's built to endure our wet Pacific Northwest weather but have a similar aesthetic to cedar. The Shadow Gray color these homeowners chose give it a nice weathered-cedar look too.
These homeowners have worked hard to give this adorable cottage a spruced up look and the new room is icing on the cake. In addition to replacing the old aging roof and making it look brand new, it also has better function with better ventilation, mildew resistance and building code updates. The CertainTeed Northgate product they chose in Max Definition Resawn Shake couldn't be a more perfect fit for the function & style of this home.
It's amazing what a new roof and a little paint can do! This rambler looks like a brand new home after installing a new CertainTeed Northgate composite shingle in Max Definition Moire Black.
What was an aging roof with risk of moisture damage to their home is now a beautiful protective roofing system that protects one of their most important assets.
This adorable cabin style home on the Gig Harbor waterfront was in need of a new roof and replacements for the leaky & aging skylights.
We replace the composite shingle roof, which was at the end of it's lifespan, with a stunning metal roof from local manufacturer Sound-Lok. The Old Town Grey gives it a sleek modern feel without losing any of it's PNW charm and the new Velux Skylights fit in seemlessly.
